The guys from Amok Time were also on hand. They probably had
the largest collection of large scaled (1/5 and 1/6 scale) resin buildup figures
on display, along with the largest selection for sale.
I saw that Green Arrow kit that had eluded me at the Chiller
Show earlier on in the year. I also saw an excellent, finely detailed Green
Lantern, a very kool rampaging Rhino and a Hulk raging up for some
destruction.
Unfortunately, since they were only accepting cash, I
decided to wait (until the next Chiller Show) to purchase any of their
figures.
Tracy (and Co.) from Federation Models was also "in-Da-Hauuuse!". They had
numerous resin spacecraft out for sale. Many buildups were displayed as well,
showing what the finished spaceship would look like when assembled and
painted.
There were a whole lot of additional vendors on hand as
well, selling resin, vinyl and plastic kits, conversion sets, videos, magazines,
and other miscellaneous items.
I even had a chance to meet and chat a bit with Dave
Cockrum, a pretty well known artist who use to draw comic books, like The
X-Men.
After making the rounds, I headed back out to the contest
rooms.
