Chiller Theatre 13th 2003 Halloween Expo
(Page Two)
The number of entries for this contest was down from the usual numbers that appear at the Fall Shows, but as usual what was there was looking very good.
I was particularly impressed with three different dioramas that were displayed.
Although the subjects of the three were completely different, the time, effort and workmanship that went into each were readily apparent.
There were a number of members from the Clubhouse Bulletin Board Forum who had
scheduled a get-together in the Contest Room at 3:00 pm. I ended up meeting
Misellus and Scully53 and 19Ratman66, along with several other Clubhouse regulars - (sorry
about forgetting your names, guys…my brain was pretty dead by then).
In addition, the usual "Chiller Culprits" Diceman and Buc Wheat and
Highwayman and MVT and Saul were on hand.
When looking for the latest Model Maniacs Magazine Ed Bowkley notified me that due
to a snafu, they had not been printed in time for the show. No problem though.
Since
I had also missed the previous issue of MMM Ed was kind enough to allow me
to pay for one that he would later ship out to me. (Thanks Ed!)
I checked out some of the other models and completed my picture taking.
Then, I decided to call it a day. I worked my way down to the ground floor and out to the car.
This year's Fall Chiller Show turned out to be another very enjoyable event. The
75-degree weather made the day a very pleasant and enjoyable one. It was also
nice to see soo many "adult" kids dress up and get into the
"spirit" of Halloween. (Sorry about that).
Next Spring I'll be back up at East Rutherford, for their spring bash. (Also, I'm determined to have something for their contest as well).
