CHILLER THEATRE'S SPRING 2001 EXPO SHOW

Some kits that caught my eye were a kool Shadow Creature, along with a nicely painted Vorlon, from the Babylon 5 TV series.

A small, sweeeeeet Batman figure looked pretty impressive as well. Tom Parker (alias Bwain) had a Godzilla (or "Bwain-zilla") out on display, which included his replacement head and hand.

Mark also had a couple of entries entered in the Professional Category: a very nicely painted Lou Ferrigno Hulk, along with a nice Mighty Joe Young.

My Personal Best, though, was a large scaled, scratch built diorama of a Boris Karloff Mummy, along with some miscellaneous props from the movie scene. I really admired the quality of that display, right down to the realistic nail heads sticking out of the wooden floor.

I finished taking pictures of the remaining models, adding some shots of the artwork that had been entered.

Then, I went to shoot the breeze with Buc and Diceman. Buc commented on how he had already been down to the Vendor’s area and had already spent a whole lot of money. One of his acquisitions was a very finely sculpted Green Arrow figure. Since comic book characters are my favorite type of figures, I made a mental note to keep my eyes opened for that piece.

I picked up a copy of the latest Model Maniacs Magazine and then headed back to the seminar room.
