CHILLER THEATRE'S SPRING 2001 EXPO SHOW

(Page Two)

"Highway Man" David Malin, Kim (Buc) Wheat and Ed were manning the registration table. In addition, they had copies of the latest and earlier issues of the Model Maniacs Magazine out for sale.

The next 15 – 20 minutes were spent trying to coax some halfway decent shots from my finicky camera - (it was having difficulties with the light streaming in through the windows found behind some of the models).

The quality and workmanship of the entries were Great!  All of the pieces on display were done exceptionally well!

The number of entries though, once again was a bit on the light side, (totaling 50 – 60 in number). It appears that the April contests generally have fewer entries than the October ones.

I could not complain about the low model turnout, since I had not entered anything in to help boost up the total. I had tried to do my part with a Trade Federation Battle Tank conversion/diorama that I’d been working on pretty much non-stop for two weeks prior to the show. However, I fell just short of having it finished in time. (Oh well, there will be another Chiller Show this October, and Wonderfest IS just around the corner).
