OK, FINALLY! I'VE RETURNED (ONCE AGAIN!)

I hope you all have had a very Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!

After (semi)-seriously neglecting this site once again, I'm back with a full kit review of Testors' HONDA S2000. I built it (along with pretty much all the other car kits in Testors' "Super Tuner" series between last Thanksgiving and New Years Eve.)

This was a nice break from my numerous on-going modeling projects, that had bogged down.

The relatively quick modeling feed-back gratification helped to get me back on track, revisting some of my uncomplete modeling projects. In order to read this review you can click here.

In addition, I've posted notes from a friend named Jamie Makin, who conducted a clininc on using clear modeling parts. It can be viewed here.

Take care and I'll be talking to you later.

January 21, 2002
Ok, after close to a 7 week lull, I've finally added something substantial to this site. Found here off of my Articles page you will find another Editorial that I've just written. It is titled: "The GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY OF MODELING." Since I take some shots at quite a few folks, I probably won't win the "Favorite Modeling Writer Award" with this one.

In addition, I've added information to the Shows & Other Sites page on a new Model Fair that will take place this year in the South Jersey Region. It is called the Air Victory Museum Model Fair and takes place four times a year at the South Jersey Regional Airport located in Medford, NJ.

January 13, 2002
I've added a number of Modelfest Shows, (that take place in the South Jersey and Maryland/DC area), to the Shows & Other Sites page.

December 2, 2001
Ok, I've been a busy little Modeling-Webmaster as of late. I've made quite a few changes this go-round. The most noticeable is a redesigning of this initial page. Links have replaced all of the major sections that were found below, and the sections have been moved to their own individual pages. This was necessary because of the growth that this page has gone through. With all of the jpeg pics that were posted here, loading this page was starting to take longer and longer.

In addition, there have been several new sections/pages that have been created. The first is the "Announcements and Updates" one. It will be used to contain the update information that had previously been contained here. (The one latest-n-greatest update will still be posted on this main page, but will be moved over when a new one is added).

The next new section that has been added is the"Seasons Greetings" one. It is dedicated to Christmas and Holiday articles and items. It is listed below and can be found here. There is both a page that contains three articles, along with a Christmas executable program that has been posted there as well.

The next addition that I've made is contained in the "Tips-n-techniques" page. Links to two articles that a friend of mine has written on creating dioramas and creating realistic small trees have been added there. They have been posted at the Delaware Valley Scale Modelers Web Page and can be found here and here

Next, I need your assistance, (if possible). There is a company know as SOL that has a history of recasting model kits. For some bizarre reason, The Squadron Mail Order Company has started selling some of their products. In the 2002 catalogue, there are a number of kits listed under SOL that are questionable in their origin. Click here and take a look at the section of a page that's from Squadron's Catalogue. If you recognize any of the kits listed under Sol as probably being originally produced by some other company, please drop me a line with the particulars at the email address listed above. I'm planning on notifying Squadron about my "concerns" with them selling items that SOL manufactures, but would like to get as much detailed information as possible first. (Thanks).

Next, for you Gundam enthusiasts, Bandi has just released a brand-spanking-new Perfect Grade Gundam, (just in time for the holidays). It is the Gundam MK II and can be viewed at the Hobby Link Japan site here.
The final change to this site is probably the first one that you've noticed. Found above you will see pictures of finished built-up (and built-up nicely) kits. They were built by two modeling buds of mine and showed up at a recent Delaware Valley Scale Modelers Club Meeting. With the lack of pictures now found on this main page, I decided to spruce it up a bit by adding pics of completed kits. These images will be moved over to my "Pics" section after they have been posted here  a while. (If you have pictures of any of your completed models, please feel free to forward their jpeg's to me, and I will gladly add them here).

November 3, 2001
I've added two articles this go-round. The first is an out-of-box review of Bandai's Perfect Grade MS-06S Zaku II. It can be found here.

The second article added is a write-up on this year's Chiller Theatre Show that just took place last weekend. It can be found here.

October 22, 2001
A friend of mine named Juan and his bud Milton were kind enough to write an article that talks about the origin of Gundam. With a lot of the buzz regarding these shows, I thought that it would be interesting to learn a bit more about these stories. You can check it out here

October 21, 2001
I just added a rather detailed article on using washes for weathering models, along with using them to apply shadowing, highlighting and realistic skin paint finishes to large scaled figure models. It can be found here

October 9, 2001
I've added a short write up on Bandi's Mobile Suit Gundam Invasion Tour 2001 that I recently attended. It can be found here

October 4, 2001
I've added a new section below, titled the "Classified Corner." It will contain different items (mainly models) that I and others are selling.

One item listed there is a book by Earl Hooks Jr., titled the Jupiter 2 Propulsion Specification Book. I've written a short review on it and have posted a number of pictures from it.
